I believe fashion is more than just about looking good. It's mostly about expressing yourself! I have named this picture "Deep Purple",as that seemed to accompany my mood. I was feeling very chilled and what better way to chill out then having blasting music in your ears. The shorts were bought at a Chinese shop. I love Chinese shops! I think they have the best clothes at a great price, and I can get away with wearing a large!=) I dig the whole torn denim look too. These clothes were so comfortable and the long black top was actually pretty warm! I'm obsessed with long striped socks.... I believe they're like the statement of punk rock! I have a bunch of them in different colours!
Here in "Skullvillain". Black and pink go so well together and I felt like jumping around for some reason... maybe it was a sugar high but I don't know. Here I felt like going for the more girly-goth look. These black shorts that I'm wearing have lasted me so long... and they are from Mr Price. Can you believe that these cute knee highs were bought at a costume shop in Edenvale?!Yeah, I felt like dressing up that day, but still dressing for comfort as you can tell from my hair- it took about a second to do! My coffin shaped bag, definitely showed my goth sense of fashion. Doesn't the black and pink checkered bag remind you of Avril's album "the best damn thing's"cover and design? It doesn't come as a surprise as, in my opinion, she's the new child of punk!
'Pretty Preppy' is what I'd name this pic. Here I felt like experimenting with something different and going a bit more extreme. I was totally ready to play golf that day and maybe have a cute instructor help me score a hole in one!=P The plaid skirt was actually mine when i was five years old, it's just way shorter for me now, but that's the point. These cute little pumps from Rockabilly's- a skater shop in Bloem, completed the look perfectly and the black stockings made it look more feminine. The side plait was done to complete the look and my vest and collared top made me feel like I fitted the role!
Lets take a look at this image which is called "A Tinge of Grunge". Kurt Cobain- the lead singer of Nirvana is one of my idols and I like to let people know that, by wearing the oversized band T-shirt. It is a menswear top and definitely gives off a grunge appeal, which actually describes the genre of the band's music. It was bought at Love Warrior- a sort of a hippie-filled merchandise retailer and my grey sweat pants were bought from Canada two years back, at a store called Garage. I wasn't doing anything that day, so I thought I would get some friends over and hang around the house all day.I think I was dressed appropriately for that occasion.I could also go nap anytime of the day because the clothes I was wearing could totally pass as PJ's.
